To prevent erosion immediately downgrade of the plunge pools, please provide an
apron of permanent soil reinforced matting (PSRM) downgrade of the plunge
pools associated with the pipe outlets. You may refer to Figures 8-4 and 8-5 on
page 8-9 of the NC-DWQ Stormwater BMP Manual for a typical preformed scour
hole layout and components which include a PSRM flushing with the existing
ground and tucked a minimum of 1.0 ft into the ground. Please submit only the
revised plan sheets after making the necessary revisions.
