Dear Ms. Karoly,
I am a Fairview resident (Spring Mountain) living below the area that will be affected by the
future development of the Cliffs at High Carolina. We have lived here for five years and carefully
chose a property where we expected good quality water for our family.
I have a number of concerns regarding the Cliffs development, foremost being the effect that
development and golf course maintenance will have on the quality and quantity of our drinking water.
After attending a meeting at the Spring Mountain Community Center, I did not have a clear picture of
where the water for the golf course would be coming from and how fertilizer/pesticide containing
run-off would be managed. I feel it is of great importance to Spring Mountain families that these
questions be addressed before further permitting proceeds.
