Re: Forrest Creek Mitigation Bank - Buffer Credit Release 2
Mr. Kulz:
Mid-Atlantic Mitigation, LLC (MAM) respectfully requests the second release of buffer credits from the
Forrest Creek Mitigation Bank in Orange County, NC. Pursuant to this request, MAM is submitting to
your office the attached documentation that mitigation site earthwork, planting and installation of
monitoring devices has been completed.
As noted in Section 18 of the Agreement signed by both DWQ and MAM, 20% of the proposed buffer
credits are to be released once this documentation is received by DWQ.
Therefore, at this time, MAM would like to request the release of another 131,600 (0.2 x 658,000=
131,600) buffer credits (1 credit = 1 sq. ft.). The total release from Milestones 1 and 2 would then equal
263,200 (0.4 x 658,000 = 263,200) buffer credits.
If you have any questions or need additional information please contact me at (704) 782-0269 (office),
(704) 245-5749 (cell), or by email at Matt.Obrien@EarthMark.US.
