I've reviewed DOT's request for a Nationwide Permit 6 to conduct test borings for the NC-12 Rodanthe Bridge in Pamlico
Sound in Dare County, North Carolina. (TIP B-2500B) The application was submitted prior to the effective date for the
new Water Quality Certifications, therefore this activity is covered under previous WQC # 3883 (DWR project #
20170282). Written approval is not required for use of this certification provided all the conditions can be met. If any of
the conditions cannot be met, written approval may be required. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks,
