Dear Mr. Scantlin:
On December 18, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated December
14, 2007 (with Public Notice received March 3, 2008), and all additional information received from you
on February 19, 2008, to fill or otherwise impact 0.0048 acres of 404/wetland and 1,688 linear feet of
stream (1,547 linear feet of perennial stream and 141 linear feet of intermittent stream) to construct the
proposed airport runway expansion at the site. On June 12, 2008, the DWQ received additional
information, however, the DWQ has determined that your application remains incomplete and/or
provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in
order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property.
Therefore, unless we receive five copies of the additional information requested below, we will place this
project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. If we do not receive the
requested information, your project will be formally returned as incomplete. Please provide the following
information so that we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Your currently submitted stormwater management plan for this site is not adequate. This site will require a
stormwater BMP or combination of BMPsdesigned to remove at least 85 percent TSS. Please provide a DWQ
BMP Supplement Form for every proposed best management practice on this site, available at:
http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/sufbmp forms.htm
2. Your NC EEP mitigation acceptance letter expired on July 30, 2008. Please provide an updated current NC
EEP mitigation acceptance letter.
Please submit this information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter. If we do not receive this
requested information within 30 calendar days of the date of this letter, your project will be withdrawn
and you will need to reapply with a new application and a new fee.
