With the actual stream width varying from 6 to 8 feet and not 10 feet as submitted in the PCN, this design should be able to meet the permit requirements of not altering existing stream dimensions. Regards, Donna From: Thompson, Larry B Sent: Tuesday, March 21, 2017 1:34 PM To: Carpenter,Kristi <kristilynn.carpenter@ncdenr.gov>; 'crystal.c.amschler@usace.army.mil' <crystal.c.amschler@usace.army.mil>; Hood, Donna <donna.hood@ncdenr.gov> Cc: Howard, Joel M<jhoward@ncdot.gov>; Haywood, Luther G <ghaywood@ncdot.gov>; Boland, Timothy M <tboland@ncdot.gov> Subject: RE: More Information Needed, DWR 20170081, Replace Bridge 52 on SR 1822 Kristi and Crystal: Joel and I met with Donna at Bridge No. 52 in Anson County (17BP.10.R.13) this morning to survey the stream width for this unnamed tributary of Jones Creek. The average upstream width was 7' S" and the average downstream width was 6' 9" (see attached measurements — note that fractions were used to work in Excel). The upstream section has been altered in the past from past anthropogenic activities. Per our conversation with Donna, this will satisfy the question regarding stream width on this project as it relates to the proposed structure. It appears as if the consultant did not survey stream width in the planning stages of this project and assumed an average stream width of 10 feet, which is incorrect. I forwarded my original email with the signed PCN attachment from January 20t'' to Donna yesterday and she has confirmed that the signature is visible in this copy. This should satisfy the requests from the On Hold letter issued on March 20th. Thank you for your help with this!
