ABC Site, Beaufort County, Tar-Pamlico 03020104, Division 2
EEP is in the process of closing out site after five years of monitoring done by DOT and EEP.
According to draft close out summary information, site is expected to close with 2,375 feet of
stream enhancement II, 101.63 acres nonriparian restoration, 9.24 acres of nonriparian creation,
and 27.57 acres nonriparian preservation.

There is one additional debit against this site that was not included on DOT's February 2004 debit
ledger. A debit in the amount of 0.68 acres was required for TIP B-2536. The error was
.discovered by NCDCM during a check of CAMA permits issued to DOT. DOT requested that
EEP adjust the final DOT debit ledger thus resulted in a new transferred balance for this project
of 27.57.
The site was monitored and closed out by DOT. I was aware that NCDCM had some issues with
the coastal marsh creation of this site and had requested a wetland delineation to determine the
actual amount of acres. Need to obtain documentation that outlines what the final coastal marsh
.creation amount should be for the site.

Site was advertised for construction; however, the cost proposals submitted were well over the
engineer's estimate. EEP had the consultant re-do the design to cut out some of the grading
activities in an effort to lower the cost to construct. The new amounts currently being advertised
are:
1.2 acres riparian restoration
61.6 acres riparian preservation
58.2 acres nonriparian restoration
38.6 acres nonriparian enhancement
320.4 acres nonriparian preservation
2.8 acres coastal marsh restoration
189.6 acres coastal marsh preservation
Total Acres 672.40 Total Credits 62.2 restoration
133.62 restoration equiv.
Brock Site, Jones County, Neuse 03020204, Division 2
Site started at DOT as potential of 2,565 feet of stream restoration. Mitigation Team File sheet
shows 2,200 feet stream enhancement. Uncertain as to which amount is the correct amount. I
found some reference to potential multiple property owners but in the end, there is only one
property owner that an easement was purchased. DOT had one debit against this site of 969 feet
for TIP R-2539.
