UT to Falls Lake (McDaniel Farm) Riparian Buffer & Nutrient Offset Site

DMS Project ID: 95389

The Division of Water Resources received the Year 1 Monitoring Report for the above -referenced
site submitted January 2017 by Division of Mitigation Services (DMS).
Vegetation success criteria for this site is an average density of 260 stems per acre of planted species
surviving after five monitoring years. Vegetation data was collected in October 2016. Based on a
visual assessment performed by DMS staff, there were areas of low stem density. According to
DMS, this low stem density prompts the need for supplemental planting. Therefore, supplemental
plantings need to be performed prior to the collection of monitoring data for Year 2.
