Briefly describe the manufacturing process(es):
Scrap Copper comes in on railcars and trucks. The scrap copper is melted into copper logs 9"in diameter
and 25 feet long or tubes that are 4"in diameter and 63 feet long. The logs are cut into billets that are 9"
in diameter and 26"long. The billets are extruded into copper tubes of various sizes for either water tubes
or air conditioning tubes.

monitoring device or method required to be operated or maintained under Article 21 or regulations of the
Environmental Management Commission implementing that Article, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable
by a fine not to exceed $25,000, or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both. (18 U.S.C. Section

Sludge Management Plan
Wieland Copper Products,LLC

Every 3 months approx. 2000 gallons of sludge is pumped from the aerobic digester by
Carolina Backhoe & Septic Tank and hauled to the Archie Elledge Wastewater Treatment
Plant located on the southwest side of Winston-Salem,NC for proper disposal.
