The Division of Water Resources has reviewed your submittal for a 401 Water Quality Certitication for the
aforementioned project. Review of your application revealed it lackine necessary information required for making
an informed pernii� decision for the followine reason:
• At the request o( the NC Wildlife Resources Commission regarding concerns for aquatic life passage,
NCDOT will re-evaluated the project [o consider alternative designs.
Therefore, pursuant to I SA NCAC 2H .0507(a)(5), we will have to place the perniit applica[ion on hold un[il we are
supplied lhe necessary infonnation. You have 21 days to respond in writing with the requested information or
notification to this office that the information is forthcomine. If, at the end of Ihe 21 days. [his oftice has not
received this information in writing, we will assume you are withdrawin, your application and it will be retumed.
Furthermore, until the infonnation is received by the NC Division of Water Resources, we request (by copy of this
letter) that the US Army Corps of Eneineers place the pennit application on hold.
