Impacts to streams and wetlands have been avoided throughout the site. Impact -1: A road connection from the northeast to the southwest was required. Per the project engineer: The location of the road crossing was based on a best attempt to keep the grading onsite and/or avoiding grading on the adjacent properties (i.e. existing residential lots). The road is classified as an NCDOT Residential Collector which requires a 50' R/W and 20' of pavement. No sidewalk or curb/gutter. Site slopes were designed at a 2:1 to existing grade to minimize the impacts within the riparian buffer to the maximum extent practicable, with an NCDOT headwall and buried outlet pad. Impacts 2 & 3: Stormwater outfalls from BMP's, reinforced with riprap to avoid erosion. Designed at an angle to minimize erosion at stream. 1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. Per the project engineer Erosion control pians will be reviewed and approved prior to receiving a land disturbing permit from the NCIDENR. Protection Of the existing stream and linear wetland will be provided during the initial phase of construction and will be maintained until NCDENR field inspectors acknowledge constructiOR is complete and chose the grading permit. Specifically, the erosion control Flan proposes 6 sediments basins with associated drainage swales directing sediment to these basins_ Silt fence is being provided at edge of disturbance along the stream buffers.
