WETLANDS AND STORMWATER BRANCH
On behalf of MS Consultants and per our conversation on Friday, July 11, 2008, I am
forwarding to you the North Carolina Ecosystem Enhancement Program's (EEP)
acceptance of payment for impacts associated with the Villages at Cross Creek project.
EEP's letter, dated June 19, 2008, reflects an extension of the credits' validity until
December 19, 2008.
I understand that the permit application for this project has been formally returned to the
applicant and DWQ has requested that the applicant reapply. However, due to a variety
of factors including staff changes at ECS, ECS and the applicant were not able to respond
with complete information to DWQ's initial request for more information, dated June 23,
2008. Now that ECS and the applicant have obtained the requested additional
information from EEP, we respectfully request that the application be reopened.
Please acknowledge the attached letter as EEP's acceptance of payment for mitigation
credits for this project and review the complete 401 permit application for the Villages at
Cross Creek Project.
Please do not hesitate to contact me or Bill Dreitzler of MS Consultants, (919) 774-7303,
with questions or concerns.
Respectfully submitted,
Rohit Bali
