SUMMARY OF HISTORIC ARCHITECTURE ANll LA1VllSCAY;S K;V1W Description of review activities. results, and conclusions: MPOWeb reviewed on 14 December 2015 and yielded no NR, SL, LD, DE, or SS properties in the Area of Potential Effects (APE). Moore County current GIS mapping, aerial photography, and tax information indicated a mostly wooded APE, intersecting a large property at the SW and NW on which stand resources dating from the 1940s to 1990s, all approximately 400 feet and more northeast of the existing bridge. Though one of the more recent, and unexceptional, outbuildings is located within the APE (about 100 feet NE of the SR 1112 (Roseland Road) centerline), all resources are well beyond likely project impact (viewed 14 December 2015). Constructed in 1956, Bridge No. 19 not eligible for the National Register according to the NCDOT Historic Bridge Survey as it is not historically, architecturally, or technologically significant. Google Maps "Street View" confirmed the absence of critical historic buildings, structures, and landscapes in the APE (viewed 14 December 2015). No architectural survey is required for the project as currently defined. Whv the availnble informntion nrovides a reliable basis for reasonablv nredictinQ that there are no unidentied signircant historic architectural or landscape resources in the proiect area: APE extends 750 feet from either end of the existing bridge (NW-SE) and 200 feet to either side of the SR 1112 (Roseland Road) centerline (NE-SW) to encompass proposed construction activities. Comprehensive historic architectural survey of Moore County (1997) and later additions, as well as county GIS/tax materials and other visuals clearly illustrate the absence of significant architectural and landscape resources. No National Register-listed properties are located within the APE. Should any aspect of the project design change (including the addition of an off-site detour), please notify NCDOT Historic Architecture as additional review may be necessary.
