WBS # 176P.2.R.47 The North Carolina Department of Transportation is replacing bridge #255 in Beaufort County with a culvert The cunent bridge is located on Terra Ceia Road (SR 1612) over Broad Creek Canal. Broad Creel< Canal is in the Tar-Pamlico Basin, but NCDWR does not claim jurisdiction; therefore the buffer rules do not apply. During construction of this bridge it was determined that additional rip rap would be needed to stabilize the banks. A sketch revision to the existing plan shows the locations of the rip rap and the linear foot of impacts. This past summer the agencies allowed us to stabilize the north slope adjacentto the junction ofa ditch that required immediate attention. Those impacts have not been accounted for yet. After consulting with Mr. Garcy Ward those impacts in addition to the impacts requested have been totaled and were added to the original 210' of impacts and now the new total is 338 linear feet. Included with this letter is permit/sketch revised drawing, and PCN page revision. If you have questions please call me at (252) 439-2800 Cc: Kristi Carpenter, DWR Sincerely, Jay B.
