issues as well as Tom Tharrington at the Wilmington Regional office. A Technical Assistance visit was scheduled for Jan, 13, 2017. The plant chlorine feed system has been tough to control and we have
ght assistance from the plant's design engineer for SCADA to re -look at the controls and provide a solution to fix the sparatic feed rates. We believe this was the contributing factor to the fecal violations. The
2 controls were returned to "DO Controled" and the staff placed a low setpoint to see if we could force the plant to denitrify. By the end of the month the Nitrates and Total N came down under the allowable
s. BOD violations seem to still be related to heavy use of De -chlor due to high chlorine residuals in the samples. We are continuing to monitor the NH3 and adjust the SBR setpoint upward to find the best
rational settings for the plant to still nitrify and remove NH3. There was no second round of sampling at the Groundwater pump station due to no flow.
