Dear Dr. Chernikov,
A contractor for Duke Energy collected water quality samples of AOW S-10 at Mayo Steam
Station on 27 April 2016 and 10 May 2016, and the laboratory reports containing the results of
the water quality sampling were received on 11 and 25 May 2016. Attached to this letter are the
results of the water quality sampling. The boron result suggests that the water is potentially
influenced by coal combustion residuals.
