Subject: Notification of New Area of Wetness (AOW) at Mayo Steam Station
Dear Mr. Chernikov,
Duke Energy detected a new AOW at Mayo Steam Station. The coordinates of the AOW are
36°32'20.25"N,78°53'36.83"W, which is located west of AOW S-01 at the toe of the dam of the ash
pond. We have designated this area as AOW S-01A. We sampled the water amongst the rip rap in this
area and are waiting for the report from the laboratory.
