Dear Sirs:
Attached is the annual 2016 stormwater discharge monitoring report for APAC-Atlantic,Inc.—Fletcher Quarry.
Table 1 summarizes the stormwater discharge quality parameters. Also attached are the supporting analytical
and sampling documentation.
The samples were collected on March 6,2016, during a`Representative Storm Event' from the outfall of the
detention pond that collects stormwater from roads and aggregate stone storage areas at the facility. The total
precipitation during the storm event was 0.82 inches. Based on an impervious drainage area of 273,840 square
feet, the maximum total flow through the SDO-001 detention pond is 0.140 MG.
The stormwater discharge complies with the turbidity and total suspended solids benchmarks.
The stormwater pond has been re-configured so that it rarely discharges. The overflow discharge line was raised
several inches. Consequently, the pond did not discharge during the second semi-annual period from June to
December 2016.
Please contact Dan March of Pisgah Environmental Services at 828-768-3335 or via e-mail at Pisgah-
air(a,vt.edu if you have questions or comments concerning this report.
Sincerely,
APAC-Atlantic,Inc.

2 Per NCG02: Tier 2 Monthly sampling shall be done until 3 consecutive samples are below the benchmark or within the benchmark range
3 If a value is in excess of the benchmark,or outside the benchmark range(for pH),you must implement the Tier 1 or Tier 2 responses in the General Permit.
4 TSS benchmark values are 100 mg/1 except in ORW,HWQ,trout, and PNA waters where they are 50 mg/l.
5 The discharge shall not cause an instantaneous measurement of the turbidity of the receiving water to exceed: 10 NTU for freshwater streams, lakes, and reservoirs designated
as trout waters;25 NTU for all lakes and reservoirs, and all salt waters;50 NTU for all other streams and surface waters.Turbidity may be monitored at the SDO.
Alternatively, the permittee may choose to monitor turbidity in the receiving water, directly upstream and downstream of the SDO.
