Reporting Period: January 1, 2015 to December 30, 2015 I. NC0032115 Wastewater Treatment Facilities 0.600 MGD extended aeration VWNTP plant consisting of: bar screen; comminutor; grit removal chamber; 40,000 gal flow equalization basin with fine bubble diffusers and dual 260 gpm submersible pumps; flow splitter box; dual 100,000 aeration basins with fine bubble diffusers and blower capacity of 900 cfm providing diffused air; 34 ft dia x 14 ft deep circular clarifier with sludge return; sludge pump station with dual 245 gpm pumps; 118,000 gal aerobic digestor with dual 50 HP blowers; UV disinfection; 0.8 meter belt filter press capable of treating 325 lbs dry solids per hour; covered sludge drying beds and 85 ft x 55 ft sludge storage pad; flow measuring device with totalizer; and emergency stand-by power. II. System Performance Annual Summary: A. Description of overall 12 month performance, noting highlights and deficiencies: The treatment plant did very well last year. However, in May we exceeded the daily limit of Nitrogen, Ammonia. The Ph was adjusted and we were back in compliance with the next sample. In February the plant was not seen for three days due to snow. B. By month, list of the number and type of any violations of permit conditions, environmental regulations or environmental laws, including (but not limited to): 1. Permit Limit Violations (NOVs and Civil Assessments): May. One daily nitrogen level 2. Monitoring and Reporting Violations (NOVs and Civil Assessments) (Illegal) Bypass of treatment facilities* February, plant not seen for three days due to snow 3. Sanitary Sewer Overflows* (NOVs and Civil Assessments) *Note estimated total monthly volumes and locations of events in which more than 1,000 gallons of waste reached surface waters. NONE C. Description of any known environmental impact of violations: NONE D. Description of corrective measures taken to address violations or deficiencies NONE III. Notification Statement as to how users or customers have been provided access to the report. This annual report has been sent to the North Carolina Division of Water Quality and to the owner of the wastewater system. The wastewater system owner has also been given a letter that they can easily distribute to all their customers. The letter will inform the customers that the annual report is available upon request to the owner of the system. IV. Certification A.
