SUBJECT: Application for an Individual Permit Extension for the North Charlotte Outer Loop in Mecklenburg
County, TIP R-2248 D. Debit WBS Element 34410.1.22 $570.00
On February 22, 2006, April 22, 2002, and September 6, 2001, respectively, the United States Army Corps of
Engineers (USACE) 404 Individual Permit (Action ID #200131321) and the North Carolina Division of Water
Quality (DWQ) 401 Water Quality Certification (WQC #3328) were issued for the subject project. These permits
authorized the construction of Sections R-2248 BB, C, and D. The purpose of this correspondence is to request a
permit extension for Section D of this project.
Construction activities in jurisdictional areas are complete. However, a few streams have destabilized and their
repair may be necessary into 2008.
NCDOT hereby requests that the R-2248D Individual permits be extended until December 31, 2008. All
environmental commitments and special conditions will continue to be followed throughout project construction. If
