Avenue SE. Travel approximately 0.5 mile and turn right on NC 127 (North)and travel
approximately 4.8 miles before turning right on Cloninger Mill Road. The WWTP entrance
will be on the right following 0.1 mile.

PART II-DESCRIPTION OF DISCHARGE AND TREATMENT WORKS

Outfall 001 —6.0 MGD—domestic and industrial (5 total SIUs with no CIUs). The existing
WWT facilities consist of mechanical screening; flow measurement; influent pump station;
grit removal; dual oxidation ditches each equipped with an anoxic and anaerobic basin;three
secondary clarifiers; gas chlorination; chlorine contact chambers; gas dechlorination;two
gravity belt thickeners; aerated sludge holding basins(former aeration basins);odor control
(biofilter, carbon absorption, ozone); and standby power.

PART IV -EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The WWTP appeared to be properly operated and well maintained at the time of the
inspection. It is recommended that the subject Permit be re ewed following review by the
Division's Complex Permitting Staff.
