5. Project Description (attach plan if available): A mine site is proposed on a 31.61 acre portion of land of a larger tract located
adjacent to Moyes Run. The soils map show several features as blue line streams within the proposed excavation area. These features
are unnamed tributaries (UT) to Moyes Run. The mining permit applicant is requesting an onsite visit to determine if these features
(see highlighted soils map included) are not subject to the Tar -Pamlico buffer Rules and therefore can be included in the proposed
excavation.
