Subject: Notification of New Areas of Wetness (AOW) at Cliffside Steam Station

Dear Mr. Chernikov,
We have discovered two new AOW at Cliffside Steam Station. We have designated these areas as AOW
S-22 and AOW S-23. The approximate coordinates of AOW S-22 are 35°13'5.55"N, 81°44'58.57"W, and
the approximate coordinates of AOW S-23 are 35°13'4.69"N, 81°45'2.12"W. Both AOW are located
along the bank of the Broad River and are west of the NPDES wastewater outfall 002. Due to terrain and
flow characteristics, we are investigating how best to sample these AOW.
