Dear Mr. Wallace:
A review of the January through December 2014 self-monitoring reports for the subject facility
revealed monitoring/reporting violations of the following parameters at Outfall 001:

A review of all monitoring information received by the Division from Clariant Corporation noted that
the above parameters were monitored on September 3, 2014, and submitted to the Division along
with other annual monitoring and pollutant scan data.
Unfortunately, condition A.(2) Effluent limitations and monitoring requirements for CWT parameter
notes both daily maximum and monthly average permit limits for the above noted pollutants with units
of measure of pounds per day (lbs/day). Because you reported the above noted parameters with
units of measure of gg/L the Division cannot determine compliance with section A.(2) of NC0004375.
Therefore, an amended September 2014 discharge monitoring report (DMR) (two copies) must be
submitted to this office. It should include an additional Effluent monitoring sheet with each of the
above parameters reported as lbs/day along with a cover letter asking for rescission of this Notice of
Deficiency. Please address your correspondence to Ms. Marcia Allocco at the letterhead address.
