f arn a lifelong resident of'North Carolina, and it pains re greatly to see the destruction of'our state by businesses, whose leadership
only looks at the bottorn line, not the long term impact. f would like to think that our beautiful state would becorne more pristine for
the next generations!
f arn writing to to ask that NCDENR deny Alcoa's application for a stormwater permit (#NCO004308) to discharge cyanide
contaminated groundwater into Badin Lake and Little Mountain Creek. NCDENR should require Alcoa to clean Lip this old, leaking
landfill -not pen -nit discharges of'hazardous chemicals into an already impaired stream. The permit as written does not satisfy the Clean
Water Act and should be denied or modified to protect Little Mountain Creek frog ongoing contarnination.
No more cyanide in Little Mountain Creek!
