Sutton Energy Complex NPDES Permit NC0001422 Water Quality NPDES Permit Form 2C Sample Data Permitting Section Dear Mr. Poupart: In accordance with the requirements of the NPDES permit for the L.V. Sutton Energy Complex (Sutton), Duke Energy Progress, LLC (Duke Energy) hereby submits the attached EPA Form 2C data. Sections A(3), A(4), and A(9) of the recently issued permit, effective December 7, 2015; requires Duke Energy to submit "EPA Form 2C" on Outfalls 002, 004 and 008 within 180 days from the effective date of the permit. Though not required by the permit, we have also included sample results for Outfall 001 which were collected during ash pond dewatering activities. Outfalls 002 and 004, from the 1971 ash basin and the 1984 ash basin respectively, have not discharged since November 2013. Grab samples from within the ash basin were collected in March 2015 and are being submitted as representative of a discharge, if one were to occur. Outfalls 008 and 001 have discharged since the permit was issued. DMR data from December 2015 through March 2016 was reviewed and aggregated with the Form 2C parameters and is reported on the attached forms.
