Seeding, mulching and matting continues in construction areas that have been completed. All fill areas appear to be in good condition. The main work area is the large rock cut, at the S-curves, near the top of the project and some of work is presently taking place from the field office to the top of the project. There are some small cut and fill areas near the upper end of the project. Some minor sediment and erosion control work needs to be performed all along the project. Some paving operations were underway. A couple of areas were noted where oil had been drained on the ground and/or were in open containers. This oil need to be cleaned up and disposed of properly. Please continue to maintain sediment and erosion control devices and continue with seeding and mulching to protect state surface waters.
