Subject: Correction to 401 Water Quality Certification for R-2408A, DWQ Project No. 20071559V.2
Dear Dr. Thorpe:
This letter is in regards to the 401 Water Quality Certification (WQC) issued on February 19, 2008 for
TIP R-2408A (DWQ Project No. 20071559V.2) authorizing six (6) linear feet of temporary stream
impacts for the relocation of a sewer line at an unnamed tributary to the Little Tennessee River on NC
Highway 28 in Macon County. The WQC issued on February 19, 2008 contains the following language:
After reviewing your application, we have decided that these impacts are covered by General Water
Quality Certification Number 3688.
The attached page corrects this language to read as the following:
After reviewing your application, we have decided that these impacts are covered by General Water
Quality Certification Number 3699. This certification corresponds to the Nationwide Permit 12
issued by the Corps of Engineers.
Please attach a copy of this letter and its attachment with any copies of the original Water Quality
Certification. All other conditions written into the previous Water Quality Certification for this project
dated February 19, 2008 still apply except where superceded by this correction. We are sorry for any
inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions please contact Mike Parker at 829-296-
4500.
Sincerely,
fleen H. Sullins,
Director
