(New Middle and High School B, Crane Road, Waxhaw, NC)
Dear Mr. Gyamfi,
In response to your letter of June 20, 2008, requesting additional information regarding the Stormwater
Management Plan, we are sending you the enclosed revisions with the information requested.
We have updated the drawings (see Sheets SD.05, SD.05 and SD.07) to show the rip-rap aprons
stabilizing the inlets and outlets at each pond. Attached you will find our calculations, sizing the aprons
for the 10-year storm.
On Sheet SD.08, we have updated the details of the channels for the level spreader and bypass at the
outlet of Pond 3, including reinforcing matting under the grass-lined channel. Attached you will find our
calculations for the bypass channel sizing for the 10-year storm.
We have updated the construction sequence on Sheet EC.02 to describe the procedures for constructing
the ponds while controlling the stormwater during the project. We have also updated Sheet EC.01 to
reflect the additional erosion control measures noted in the construction sequence.
It was a pleasure to meet you at the LID Summit in Asheville earlier this week. Should questions arise
during your review of this project, please give us a call.
