Attached is a notification informing USACE and DWQ of the upcoming maintenance dredging project at the Stumpy Point Emergency Ferry. The area has become
shallow and needs to be dredge in order to allow the safe passage of emergency ferries in and out of the channel and basin. I have attached the most recent
survey of the area.
Our permit Action ID No. SAW-2006-41252 expires on December 31, 2016 at this time we would like to move forward with renewal. If you need additional
information for this please let me know

NCDOT Ferry Division is submitting notification for an upcoming dredging project at the Stumpy
Point Emergency Ferry Basin and Channel. The estimated amount of material to be removed from
the basin and channel is approximately 40,000 cubic yards, this material will be deposited into the
Stumpy Point Dilced Disposal Cell that is owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Work is
scheduled to start in mid-November 2016.
