ALCOM (formerly URS Corporation) is pleased to provide Duke Energy with the attached
FINAL Report for the Phase 2 Reconstitution of the engineering design for the ash basin
impoundments at the Duke Energy Riverbend Station located in Gaston County, North Carolina.
The purpose of the Report is to summarize the activities employed to complete the reconstitution
of design (including all investigations), present the calculations performed, summarize the
results, and document the findings relative to the compliance of the existing ash basins with
current regulatory requirements and current engineering standards of practice.
