Project DesCription STIP project B-4528 involves the replacement of Greene County Bridge #390025
on SR 1149 (Warrentown Rd.) over Tyson Marsh. The existing bridge consists of 1@ 30' - 1",1 @ 30',
and 1@ 30' - 1" prestressed concrete deck spans on timber piles and is to be replaced with a 1@ 30' -
0", 1@ 60' - 0", 24" cored slab bridge (90' total length, 33' total width) at the same location. In
accordance with Neuse River Buffer Regulations, the proposed bridge does not contain deck drains. All
stormwater from the bridge and approaches will be collected by a storm drainage system and discharged
to an existing ditch at -L- Sta. 16+72 LT outside the buffers (The ditch flows away from the crossing). The
existing ditches in all four quadrants will be retained as-is to reduce buffer impacts..
