The scans were made Easter week 2000, the other two this morning. In 112_0141.jpg you should see a shovel stuck in the ground with 3' of surveys tape on the handle. It is by the stump of the dead tree at the feet of the young lady sleeping on a mat in scan0001.jpg. If you could measure the difference in distance between the tree and stump(shovel) and the edge of the bank it would be about two feet. In scan0002.jpg the Green circled tree base is the Beaver destroyed stump, i.e. tree in the water, in 112_0140.jpg. At full pool today that stump is in the water, then, Spring 2000, it was a couple of feet inland. As a side note we no longer have freshwater mussels in the water, I fear the sedimentation from this erosion as killed them off. Also looking at the length of survey tape it shows the bank there is about 3' high. To obtain the proper slope of rip -rap I might have to go 5' out into the lake floor. Even at 5' out by 100' long ends up being .012 A, I think. On the right side the bank height is less so the lake floor coverage would be also, making the .012 A a maximum. If there is anything else I need to send you please let me know.
