Mr. Watts,
On November 28, 2016, the Division of Water Resources (Division) received your application dated November 2, 2016,
requesting a 401 Water Quality Certification from the Division for the subject project. The Division has determined that
your application is incomplete and cannot be processed. The application is on hold until all of the following items are
addressed:
1. Please provide a photograph of the shoreline to be stabilized. If possible, include a scale of some sort (e.g. yard
stick, shovel, etc...). [15A NCAC .0506(b)(2)]
2. 1 understand that you propose to stabilize approximately 100 feet along the shoreline. Please clarify the
lakeward extent of the proposed stabilization measures (i.e. how far out horizontally into the lake bed from the
normal full pool elevation are you proposing to place rip rap?). [15A NCAC .0502(b)]
