Aqua North Carolina, Inc. (Aqua) offers the following responses to the above -referenced Request
1. Please provide five (5) days of Total Hardness (CaCO3 or (Ca + Mg)) data for Harbor Estates
WWTP effluent. -
Response: Attached Exhibit 1
2. Please calculate and, provide the expected discharge concentration for all parameters given in .
the application for filter backwash that had detection.
Response: Attached Exhibit 2
3... Please provide the following information to describe each filter backwash source:
a. Type of WTP treatment plant
Response:. Ion Exchange
b. Describe the treatment processes for the raw water
Response: Raw water is treated with Sodium Hypochlorite (C12) only
c. Describe the wastewater and the treatment processes for wastewater generated by the
facility
Response: Wastewater is backwashed into a holding tank and hauled by truck to a
wastewater facility. No treatment is added.
