NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP
FOR THE PROPOSED NC 143 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS FROM
WEST BUFFALO CREEK TO NC 143 BUSINESS WEST OF ROBBINSVILLE

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the
above Citizens Informational Workshop on Thursday, May 15, 2008 between the
hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of Robbinsville High School
located at 301 Sweetwater Road, Robbinsville.
The purpose of this workshop is for NCDOT representatives to provide
information, answer questions, and accept written comments regarding this
project. NCDOT proposes to improve existing NC 143 from West Buffalo Creek
to NC 143 Business west of Robbinsville. Improvements will consist of widening
and possible realignment of certain portions of the roadway. The purpose of the
proposed project is to improve safety along this stretch of roadway. The project is
approximately 4.5 miles long.
