We leave the dike material up to the contractor but it typically is sand bags for shallow water and jersey barriers for deeper water. The dike will be removed. It won't be riprap. From: Wanucha, Dave Sent: Tuesday, December 06, 2016 1:12 PM To: Slaughter, Johnathan H <hslaughter@ncdot.gov> Subject: Bridge 203 Surry Co Heath, Temporary impacts are shown as an impervious dike on the plans. What will the impervious dike consist of? Riprap, jersey barriers or what? I'm assuming that since impacts are listed as temporary, they will all be removed once bridge is constructed? Stream impact data are typically listed in linear feet and area. What are the linear feet of temp impacts?
