NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR A PROPOSED
TWO-LANE ROAD FROM SR 1126 (NEWLAND ROAD)
TO SR 1125 (MILLPOND ROAD) NEAR ROPER
TIP Project No. R-4909

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the
above Citizens Informational Workshop on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, between the
hours of 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM in the Washington County Union School
Gymnasium, 37 East Millpond Road, Roper, 27970.
Interested individuals may attend this informal workshop at their
convenience during the above stated hours. NCDOT representatives will be
present to answer questions and receive comments from the public about this
project. There will be no formal presentation.
This project proposes to build a two-lane roadway on a new location
between SR 1126 (Newland Road) and SR 1125 (Millpond Road). The workshop
is being held to present the purpose and need for the project, as well as the
alternatives being considered.
