NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP
FOR THE 1-40 ACCESS IMPROVEMENTS IN THE VICINITY
OF THE NC 42 INTERCHANGE
TIP Project No. 1-4739
Johnston County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the
above Citizens Informational Workshop on Thursday, April 17, 2008 between the
hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at West View Elementary School, 11755
Cleveland Road, Garner, 27529.
The purpose of this workshop is for NCDOT representatives to provide
information, answer questions, and accept written comments regarding this
project. NCDOT proposes to modify the existing interchange at 1-40 / NC 42. The
purpose of the project is to increase mobility and reduce congestion. The need for
the project is due to the substantial growth in the area and expected future traffic.
