NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR THE
PROPOSED INTERCHANGE AT THE INTERSECTION OF US 74 AND
OLD FAYETTEVILLE ROAD (SR 1437)
TIP Project No. U-3337
Brunswick County
The North Carolina Department of Transportation will hold a Citizens
Informational Workshop on April 21, 2008. The workshop will be held at Leland
Middle School, 927 Old Fayetteville Road, Leland. This will be an informal
meeting. The workshop hours are 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Interested citizens may attend at their convenience during the above
hours. Department of Transportation representatives will be present to answer
questions and receive comments concerning the project. Information presented
at this workshop will be general in nature, as detailed plans have not yet been
prepared for the project.
The proposed project involves converting a grade separation to an
interchange at the intersection of US 74 and Old Fayetteville Road (SR 1437).
The project may require the purchase of additional right of way and the relocation
of homes and businesses.
