Impacts were reduced by placing the house as close to the front of the lot as the setback line will allow, using 3:1 fill slopes, and choosing a compact house design. Please note that the applicant had originally designed a pool behind the house and wanted the house deeper within the lot. However, after discussions with the USACE, the applicant agreed to reduce impacts and revised the site plan. 1 b. However, several federally listed species (sturgeon, West Indian manatee, sea turtles, seabeach amaranth) are known to occur within a one -mile radius of the site, likely in the Atlantic Ocean and its adjacent beachfront.
