This discrepancy often happens because the application isn’t entirely clear on how these calculations are done. So if you could review the breakdown that I’ve come up with and let me know if that accurately depicts your project, I’d appreciate it. 1.Above Normal Water Level: Temporary Impacts: 10’ X 80’ clearing = 800 sq. ft. total Permanent Impacts: 14’ X 12’ boat house = 168 sq. ft. 3’ X 40’ rip rap = 120 sq. ft. 3’ X 5’ rip rap = 15 sq. ft. 1’ X 12’ + 1’ X 14’ + 1’ X 12’ seawall = 38 sq. ft. (assuming a 1’ wide seawall) Total Permanent Above Normal Water Level Impacts = 341 sq. ft. 2.Below Normal Water Level: Permanent Impacts: 29’ X 10’ dock and stairs = 290 sq. ft. 3’ X 40’ rip rap = 120 sq. ft. 3’ X 5’ rip rap = 15 sq. ft. 1’ X 29’ seawall = 29 sq. feet (assuming a 1’ wide seawall) Total Permanent Below Normal Water Level Impacts = 454 sq. ft. Thanks for your help with these numbers.
