Before I issue an approval I want to be sure that it is clear to the Town that the 401 we will issue will have a
permit condition that states that all future development on the 15 acre tract will be required to have stormwater
treatment BMPs designed in accordance with the stormwater regulations at the time of design and that the
designs must be submitted to DWR for approval prior to any land disturbing activity on these parcels. Since the
401 will be issued to the Town, the Town will be responsible for compliance with this permit condition. There will
be no expiration date for permit. Do they understand their long term responsibility for compliance regardless of
the ownership of the development tracts?

We received the approved 404 permit from John this afternoon for the Quality Drive Road Extension project in
Mocksville. I’m just wondering if you’ve had a chance to look at our application and if not, do you have an
estimated time-frame as to when you’re department will be able to?
