HomeMy WebLinkAbout20161155 Ver 1_Project Description_201611223e. Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used: The existing three corrugated metal pipes will be removed and replaced with a Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert (2 @ 13' x 11'). Geotextile fabric and rip-rap will be utilized for bank stabilization and outlet protection. Culvert widths were designed to approximately match the stream width to maintain the normal flow width, depth, and velocity of the stream. This will maintain sediment transport to provide a stable stream during bankfull discharge. Interior baffles and notches were designed for use within the culvert to stabilize the stream bed due to the steep longitudinal stream slope. Equipment to be used includes standard heavy highway construction equipment (i.e. excavators, dump trucks, etc.). Temporary impervious dikes and culverts will be installed to allow for work in the dry.
