This letter is to inform you that the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) has
reviewed the LAMA Major Application for Mr. James L. Denny. The permit request is
for shoreline stabilization and an addition of a boathouse to an existing pier and the
addition of a Personal Water Craft (PWC) slip/lift. The request is for the slippage areas to
be in less than three feet of water depth.
The DWQ has decided to issue a 401 Water Quality Certification upon the
observation of the CAMA field staff report that there is no Submerged Aquatic
Vegetation (SAV) in the alignment of the new construction and dockage area. Due to the
existing use in the associated water depths it is the opinion of the DWQ that there will be
no increased negative impacts associated with this project.
