Hey Nikki —The drawing below indicates what is meant by bevel. It is not the same thing as notch to create a low-flow
channel. Summit defined it as this: "Bevels means the culvert has bevels at the top of the culvert inlet to improve flow
at the inlet, to help with performance, pretty much makes the culvert act like a funnel to draw down the water
quicker."

Hi Nikki,
The cover letter mentioned that the RCBC will have sills with bevels. Please explain. Will the sills be beveled as in
notched? The plans do not call out bevels so I cannot see to what you are referring.
