SUBJECT: TIP Project No. B-4490: Replacement of Bridge No. 16 on NC 24/87/210 (Rowan
Street) over CSX RR, NS RR & Hillsboro Street in Cumberland County.
The Project Development and Environmental Analysis Branch is starting the project
development, environmental and engineering studies for the replacement of Bridge No. 16 in
Cumberland County. This project is included in the North Carolina Transportation Improvement
Program and is scheduled for construction in the federal fiscal year of 2013.
When available, we will provide you a copy of the Executive Summary of the Natural Resources
Technical Report (NRTR). At that time, we will solicit information about these projects to be
used in the preparation of a federally funded Environmental Assessment document. If your
agency has critical information that can be furnished at this time, please feel free to do so.
If you have any questions concerning any of these projects, please contact Tracy Walter at (919)
715-2120. Please include the TIP Project Number in all correspondence and comments.
