Pursuant to 40 Code of Federal Regulations § 123.44(a)(1), the EPA may take up to 90 days from the receipt of permit information to make general comments, objections to, or recommendations on, a proposed permit. Due to the complexity of the above-referenced permits, the Region has been asked to coordinate our review with personnel at the EPA Headquarters to ensure consistency in approach, and this is why the EPA requests additional time.
