REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION-EXPRESS REVIEW PROGRAM
On September 12, 2005, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application and check
for $1000 for an Isolated Wetland Permit through the Express Review Program. The fee was based
on the type of action you requested on the Initial Interest form. However, when reviewing your
application, you are proposing impacts within the protected Neuse Riparian buffers. As a result, your
project will require Riparian Buffer Approval, which has an additional fee of $2000. Please refer to
the Express Review Fee Schedule found at:
http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands/documents/express_fees.pdf. In order for DWQ to begin review
and process your request, you must send an additional check made payable to the N.C. Division of
Water Quality. Please reference the above DWQ # in all future correspondence.
The project has been placed on hold pending receipt of payment. DWQ will not review the
application until receipt of the additional funds. At that time, the 30-day Express Review clock will
start.
