Explain the purpose of the proposed project: The purpose of the proposed project is to construct an addition onto an existing residential structure.The addition will be piling supported and constructed over wetlands.Approximately 0.07 acre of temporary wetland impacts is needed to construct the addition. 3e. Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used: This project includes the construction of a 2,500-sf piling-supported addition (on two floors) to an existing residence. Pilings will be spaced approximately 5-9 feet apart and will be approximately 14 feet above the ground surface. Area will be bush hogged and some larger stumps may need to be removed to get equipment in. Logging mats will be placed within the project area and construction of the addition will commence. Track hoe, loader, pile driver, dump truck, bob cat, and other standard construction equipment will be used. Once the addition is constructed,the logging mats will be removed and any ruts will be smoothed.The disturbed area will then be seeded with a wetland seed mix. 4. Jurisdictional Determinations 4a. No impacts to this species will occur from the proposed project.Several other federally listed species(West Indian manatee,Atlantic sturgeon, sea turtles)are known to occur within a one-mile radius of the site.These species are found either in the ocean or along the beach and will not be affected by the project. 6.
